Crypto.com Links with Wallet to Expand Global Crypto

Crypto.com has also announced a collaboration with a South Korean fintech company on a travel wallet aimed at increasing crypto spending and payments worldwide.

The partnership will ensure that the use of cryptocurrencies is as easy as using traditional money, and it will increase Crypto.com’s presence in one of the world’s most technologically advanced markets.

The agreement will have Travel Wallet as the primary card issuing partner of Crypto.com in South Korea. The two firms are scheduled to introduce a standard prepaid card that will enable its users to use both cash and crypto around the world. Travel Wallet now has over 8 million users who store, transfer, and use more than  40 different currencies through its mobile application and payment card.

To provide a seamless experience for its users, Crypto.com will utilize its established user base and secure payment network to offer a system that allows users to trade, hold, and spend both fiat and digital assets within a single platform. According to Eric Anziani, President and Chief Operating Officer of Crypto.com, South Korea is the best place to expand with its openness to digital finance. He explained that collaboration with Travel Wallet will streamline the process of crypto payments, simplify them, and make them more accessible for everyday purposes.

Travel Wallet Adds Crypto, Stablecoin Support

Travel Wallet will incorporate Crypto.com’s crypto-as-a-service technology into its application, allowing users to trade and manage digital assets within the app. It will also launch its stablecoin in KRW on both platforms, facilitating faster and more affordable global transactions.

According to Travel Wallet CEO Kim Hyung-woo, the partnership marked the beginning of a new era in the intersection of fintech and blockchain finance. He claimed that the cooperation will contribute to the development of a unified financial system that supports foreign currencies, cryptocurrencies, and stablecoins. According to Kim, South Korea will be a beneficiary of this innovation, and many of its users will be able to shop, travel, and send money via crypto easily.

The alliance enhances Crypto.com’s growing influence in South Korea. In January, the company announced that it is an official crypto payments partner of the APEC CEO Summit Korea 2025. It will take place in Gyeongju on October 28 31, bringing world business leaders and professionals to talk about AI, digital innovation, and economic development. Cryptocurrency will be used to sell tickets with the help of Crypto.com Pay.

Crypto.com also announced its new/improved Level Up rewards program in September 2025, with no trading fees and up to 6% cashback in CRO tokens. Its subscription-based program commencing at $4.99 per month will offer premium trading advantages that were initially restricted to professionals to daily users.

The Crypto.com and Travel Wallet partnership shows the desire of both companies to promote the adoption of digital finance. The partnership aims to integrate crypto payments into mainstream and convenient transactions, similar to regular transactions, as parties share a common interest in convenience, accessibility, and innovation.
